Founded in 1975, the Center for Quantum Electronics at UTD served as one of the premier institutions for laser- related research and teaching in the Southwest.
Many discoveries were made here that have led to the publication of over 200 scholarly articles and to the award of 36 PhD Degrees to the Graduates Students of this Center.
Research in the Center for Quantum Electronics focused upon three areas:
